TIPS

  • Uber is not as popular (add at least 15 min to your waiting time)
  • DO NOT pay with bills higher than 500 pesos. Many people will not have change for large bills.
  • Weak Wifi and cell service (practically no service for wedding venue)
  • Drink bottled water (very cheap), not from the faucet.
  • Take it easy on the spicy food.
  • Pack swim suit for cenotes or beach day and water shoes
  • SLOW is the pace. Do not expect fast service anywhere, this is a very calm atmosphere.
  • Nightlife. If you are an early bird, sleep in. Most places do not open until 10 or 11 am. This is a place to stay out late.
  • Do not expect English to be spoken. Many of us speak both, but Google translate does a good job. Just be patient.
  • Please and thank you (Por favor and Gracias) goes a very long way when not knowing the language.
  • You may want to carry bug spray, there are pharmacies and convenient stores available for purchasing these.
  • Bring fiber pills just in case.
  • RENTING A CAR? Mexico requires insurance. Be aware to not get scammed here. The lowest tier should be fine.

our journey

Since the first year of knowing each other, we have been on some amazing adventures; some more magical than others.

Sure we went skydiving in Vegas, and sat in the middle of a firestorm at Rammstein, but even a simple grocery store errand can turn into a lasting memory merely because of our humor, our silly antics and sharing of brains.

menu

Dinner and drinks will be regional to Yucatan.

  • Appetizer: Empanadas de Chaya con queso de bola.

  • Dinner: Poc-chu con papas. (Pork with potatoes.)

  • Dessert: Coconut ice cream.
